As the planning principal for Glacier Middle School, my goal is to partner with our incoming students and families to create an amazing environment for learning and success because middle school matters!
I look forward to working with you to open our new dual language school and kick off exciting opportunities for sixth grade in middle school, including arts and world language. Our dual language program will start with sixth and seventh grades in fall 2019, rolling up to eighth grade in fall 2020.
Previously, I served as principal of Seahurst Elementary School, Sylvester Middle School and Highline High School. I bring my knowledge of elementary, middle and high school to Glacier, plus a passion for serving our students and families in Highline.
You are invited to help our students get off to a great start. Many opportunities exist for you to be involved. We want your help in creating a vision and mission. We need volunteers to form a PTA or other parent-led organization and to help plan transition and welcoming activities.
We launched a small Glacier Community Advisory Team in November with conversations about families’ hopes and dreams for their students. Stay tuned for information about family events in January focused on students in sixth and seventh grades moving up to middle school and welcoming students to eighth grade at Glacier from other middle schools. We will work together to build a community-based vision for Glacier Middle School.
How would you like to be involved? Contact me to volunteer or ask questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
