Dear Glacier Families,
It has been two months since we were able to teach your children face to face. We truly miss them and are looking forward to the day we are able to be together again in-person.
The focus of remote learning has shifted from maintaining previous learning to engaging students with new content and skills. It is important that your child stays connected with their peers and teachers and engages in the weekly assignments and office hours for each of their classes in order to prepare for new material next school year.
With report cards coming soon, we would like to clarify the grading policy that has been set forth by the Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).
- Grades will be posted as "Pass" or "Incomplete" for nearly every course and student. This is a change from the previous Pass/No Credit policy for all middle school courses.
- Student grades will not be harmed as a result of the closure.
- Student grades may only increase [or stay the same] during this time.
All assignments will still be found in the Synergy system. Please contact your student's teacher should you have questions regarding their grade.
